New York data center projects in government records, 2026

4 data center projects found in New York records dated April 26 to October 26, 2026: a NYSDEC Environmental Notice Bulletin SEQR notice, Genesee County Economic Development Center committee minutes, St. Lawrence County Planning Board minutes, and Town of Tonawanda Planning Board minutes. None of the records we opened gives a backup generator count. Every project links to its government record.

The DEC notice bulletin search and the Town of Lansing website block automated reading, and no state air permit notice for a data center was found in the window; most counties outside western New York, the North Country and Rockland were not checked. This is a sample, not a complete list.
